Bristol Myers Squibb Co in Chester, UK is seeking a Finance Controller to lead end-to-end financial closes and ensure regional compliance across the market. You will work with global teams to deliver accurate reporting and maintain strong internal controls.

The role offers a hybrid working model (50% home / 50% office) with international travel to Turkey as required, enabling exposure to senior leadership and a platform to influence local strategy within a global finance framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across your market.
• Be the compliance authority for statutory financials, transfer pricing documentation, internal controls, and regulator interactions.
• Drive strategic conversations, evaluate investment opportunities and articulate financial risks and opportunities.
• Represent BMS at the highest level, including potential membership on Legal Entity Boards and contact with regulators and in-person authorities.
• Connect local operations to a global finance structure with cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll own - and why it matters

• Lead the financial close - You'll own the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process across your market. When issues arise, you'll be the person who resolves them – with the support of global teams behind you.
• Be the compliance authority - From statutory financials to transfer pricing documentation, internal controls to regulatory interactions, you'll ensure BMS operates with integrity in every market you lead. Final sign-off sits with you - and that accountability means something here.
• Drive strategic conversations - Evaluating investment opportunities, articulating financial risks and opportunities, and contributing to local business strategy. Your expertise will be sought, not just reported.
• Represent BMS at the highest level - Including potential membership on Legal Entity Boards of Directors and serving as the primary point of contact for local regulators and in-person authority visits.
• Connect local operations to a global mission - Collaborating with BMS's Tax COE, Statutory and Legal Entity COE, Corporate Treasury, and Capability Centres, you'll be the essential link between your market and the world-class global finance structure that supports it.
