Job summary

Counter Terrorism Policing is seeking a dedicated individual to receive, assess and manage critical information and intelligence in alignment with national standards, highlighting risks to the IMU manager.

The role involves disrupting groups involved in counter-terrorism or domestic extremism, liaising with the Security Service and NCTPOC, and acting as a Case Officer on priority operations as identified under the Intelligence Handling Model.

Responsibilities

• Receive, assess and manage information and intelligence in line with National Standards of Intelligence Management; highlight threat and risk to the IMU manager.
• Disrupt individuals or groups whose activities fall within counter-terrorism or domestic extremism.
• Liaise with the Security Service and National Counter Terrorism Police Operations Centre on national security investigations.
• Act as a Case Officer on lead investigations and priority operations as identified under the Intelligence Handling Model.
• Support Fusion and Counter Terrorism Police Operations Room during major covert terrorist investigations.
