Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is hiring experienced MHE Operatives for a busy warehouse. The role pays £13.82 per hour with a 4 on 4 off rotating days/nights shift (06:00–18:00, 18:00–06:00).

You will operate forklift trucks, load/unload containers, accurately scan pallets, and help maintain stock integrity and safety across a palletised distribution environment. Training and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting.
• Counterbalance forklift experience required; Clamp or Aisle Master advantageous.
• In-house licences from previous employers considered with relevant practical experience.
• Strong focus on safe working practices and attention to detail.
• Reliable, flexible and team-focused approach.
• Availability to work a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently in a palletised storage and distribution environment.
• Load and unload wagons or containers in line with site procedures.
• Scan pallets accurately into the correct locations and complete all tasks fully.
• Move, organise and handle goods carefully to maintain product quality and condition.
• Support the smooth flow of stock throughout the warehouse operation.
• Carry out equipment checks and report any faults, damage or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow site safe systems of work, including PPE, walkways and designated areas.
• Work closely with Team Leaders, colleagues and shift teams to ensure clear handovers and operational priorities are met.
