Job summary

Great Bear at Markham Vale 1, part of the Culina Group, is seeking reliable MHE Operatives to support a busy ambient warehouse. You will operate reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment, assist with stock movement and inbound activity, and perform safety checks on equipment.

The role is a 4 on 4 off night shift from 18:00 to 06:00, with a base hourly rate of £13.13 plus £1.75 shift allowance. Training requirements and on-site inductions are described in the criteria.

Qualifications

• Evidence of training on a reach truck or VNA in a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting.
• The certification should show hours spent on the training and be compatible with H&S requirements.
• On-site training accepted if prior certificates exist but extended on-site training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE safely and efficiently, including Reach trucks, VNA and PPT equipment where required.
• Support movement, replenishment and put-away of stock within the warehouse.
• Assist with loading, unloading and inbound activity following site procedures.
• Complete vehicle, equipment and safety checks in line with standards.
• Use scanners or warehouse systems to maintain stock integrity.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to keep the operation moving at pace.
