Counterbalance Forklift Operator
Location: Darlington
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time
Contract Type: Ongoing temporary assignment

We are recruiting for a Production Operative with strong counterbalance forklift experience to join a well-established manufacturing company in Darlington. This is a full-time, ongoing temporary opportunity with long-term potential.

Please note: This role is predominantly forklift-based. A valid, in-date counterbalance forklift truck licence is essential, and you must be confident operating a forklift in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move raw materials, components, and finished goods

Load and unload production machinery and storage areas

Support the preparation and movement of materials for mixing, extrusion, and blending processes

Assist production teams with basic machine operation when required

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety policies

Accurately follow batch instructions and standard operating procedures

Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality control, and warehouse teams

Requirements:

Current, valid counterbalance forklift truck licence (essential)

Recent forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting

Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently

Good time management and attention to detail

Willingness to support wider production tasks if required
