Job summary

Kinetic PLC is seeking a day shift counterbalance forklift driver to join our established team in Birtley on a temporary to permanent basis. You must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence to be considered.

The role runs Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:00 and Friday 07:00–13:00, with a wage of £13.18 per hour. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and responsibilities covering goods handling, stock checks, and inventory updates.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence (counterbalance) valid and in date.

Responsibilities

• Picking goods by using a counterbalance forklift.
• Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received.
• Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock.
• Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items.
• Updating inventory management systems regularly.
• Organising and delivering goods from the store to the section that requires it.
• Deliver finished goods to customer sites.
• Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and word processing software.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work methodically and quickly.

You must have an in date inhouse or external counterbalance forklift licence to be considered for this position.

Monday to Thursday

07:00 until 16:00

Friday

07:00 until 13:00

£13.18 per hour

25 days holiday plus bank holidays
