Job summary

Simply Jobsworth is recruiting a Counterbalance FLT Driver / Labourer to join a busy manufacturing site in Dudley, DY2. The role combines forklift duties with general labouring and production tasks, with a Monday-Friday shift pattern.

Jobsworth Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance FLT Driver / Labourer to join a busy and established manufacturing business based in Dudley, DY2.

This is a full-time opportunity for someone who holds a B1 Counterbalance FLT licence and is looking for consistent Monday-Friday work within a manufacturing environment.

The role is varied, combining forklift work with general labouring and production duties. It would suit someone who is practical, reliable and happy to get involved across the shop floor.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move materials around the site
• Loading and unloading materials
• Removing finished metal components from laser cutting machines
• Handling and moving laser-cut parts
• Packing finished components onto pallets and into boxes
• Preparing products for despatch
• General labouring and production duties
• Carrying out manual handling of metal components
• Maintaining good housekeeping across the shop floor
• Following company health and safety procedures
• Working as part of the wider production team

This is a hands-on and physical position, with regular lifting and handling of metal components. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable getting involved with the labouring side of the role rather than simply operating the forklift throughout the shift.

Shift Pattern

The position operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern.

Morning Shift - £13.00 per hour

Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Afternoon Shift - £13.50 per hour

Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 11:30pm
