Job summary

Impact Recruitment are recruiting for a Counterbalance Driver in Corby to join a busy despatch team on a temp-to-perm basis. The role combines warehouse duties with forklift driving and stock movement, working Monday to Friday 08:30–17:00.

You will handle despatch preparation, load/unload using a counterbalance forklift, and assist with paperwork and logistics. The position offers on-site work with pay rates from £13.50–£13.75 per hour and progression after probation.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Have previous warehouse, despatch, or logistics experience.
• Be physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Be accurate completing paperwork.
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to support despatch operations.
• Be reliable and committed for a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Prepare customer orders for despatch, ensuring accuracy at all times.
• Stack, label, and shrink-wrap pallets ready for collection.
• Move stock throughout the warehouse using pallet trucks and forklift trucks.
• Process despatch paperwork and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
• Liaise with delivery drivers and transport companies throughout the day.
• Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting and moving boxes and preparing pallets for shipment.
• Support the wider warehouse and despatch team as required.

Overview

Impact Recruitment are currently working with a well‑established manufacturing business based in Corby who are looking to recruit a Counterbalance Driver to join their despatch team on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This is a physically active role combining warehouse duties, stock movement, despatch preparation, and forklift driving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being on their feet and working as part of a busy team.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00

Pay

£13.50 per hour, increasing to £13.75 per hour after a successful 3‑month probation, with a further increase upon becoming permanent

The Ideal Candidate Must

• Be confident completing paperwork accurately
• Have a positive attitude and be willing to support all areas of the despatch operation
• Be reliable, committed, and looking for a long‑term opportunity
