Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to be the first point of contact for residents on council tax related enquiries. You will explain bills, set up payment plans, answer inquiries and resolve issues with a high standard of service and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include handling CTAX calls, assisting with bills and payments, setting up direct debits and planning options, addressing arrears or exemptions, and ensuring policy compliance and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience handling CTAX billing enquiries.
• Experience using NEC Northgate revenue system.
• Must hold BPSS certification for the placement duration.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls related to Council Tax and Council Services.
• Assist residents with understanding council tax bills, payments and account details.
• Set up and manage Direct Debits, payment plans and other payment options.
• Assist with arrears, disputes and exemptions.
• Ensure compliance with council policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
