Job summary

William James Recruitment is seeking a Costs Negotiator in Manchester to take ownership of a personal caseload, negotiating costs settlements on high-value clinical negligence matters. The role offers a hybrid working model and development opportunities, with a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.

You will review, assess and negotiate costs, draft disputes and replies, and communicate with clients and insurers, while working closely with the Costs and Clinical Negligence teams to

Qualifications

• Experience in costs negotiation
• Ability to draft Points of Dispute and Replies confidently
• Experience managing your own caseload
• Strong telephone negotiation and communication skills
• Good legal judgement and attention to detail
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Able to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and within a team
• IT and case management system proficiency

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Costs Negotiator to join a well-regarded legal team in Manchester, specialising in Clinical Negligence matters. This Costs Negotiator role in Manchester offers the chance to take ownership of your own caseload while working on complex, high-value costs files within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role:

• Review, assess and negotiate costs settlements
