Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, in partnership with One Retail, is seeking a Cafe Supervisor in Dartford to help run daily cafe operations and lead frontline teams. This full-time role supports 35 hours per week across variable shifts, with opportunities for progression in a large hospitality group.

You will ensure high service standards, manage rotas, handle stock and orders, and maintain food hygiene and safety while delivering outstanding customer care to guests across multiple venues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cafe operations and supervise staff shifts.

• Place orders to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Delegate tasks and promote proactive team engagement.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Job description

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major High Street brand on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly


• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported


• Being a responsible key holder


• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary


• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines


• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels


• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times


• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards


• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

Our Ideal Cafe Supervisor Will

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
