As a Project Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on… a wide variety of commercial build, residential, and mixed-use developments ranging from £5m to £500m. You will act as the sole contact for clients and support the existing team. Your responsibilities include:
- Cost Planning: preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals, elemental cost plans in accordance with NRM, providing advice on development plans, and value engineering studies.
- Procurement: advising on procurement strategy, assembling tender lists, preparing tender documents, managing tender processes, and evaluating tenders.
- Post Contract Quantity Surveying: verifying applications for interim payments, preparing certificates, managing change control, producing cost reports, supporting dispute resolution, and developing commercial strategies.
What do we look for?
- A proactive approach and commitment to delivering excellent customer service with good commercial results.
- Quantity Surveyor (Cost Manager) with relevant consultancy or end-user client experience.
- MRICS or professionally qualified in surveying or engineering, or aspiring to be so.
- Technical background with a degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or similar.
- Experience on complex schemes (£5m-£500m) both pre- and post-contract.
- Stakeholder management skills, focusing on developing client relationships and new business.
- Outgoing, flexible, ambitious team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
