Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor - Construction

We are seeking a Cost Manager to join our Manchester Real Estate team to assist our clients and their professional teams on various iconic projects across the Northwest.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction, with a good knowledge of the industry from either a Main Contracting or PQS background, and possess an outgoing and collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with feasibility studies and procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans
• Managing tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification stages
• Handling post-contract cost variances and change control processes
• Performing cost checks and valuations on large projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Producing monthly post-contract cost reports for clients
• Negotiating and finalizing accounts
• Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages

Experience and Skills:

• Proven track record in delivering high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services throughout project lifecycles
• Professional qualification (e.g., RICS or equivalent) preferred
• Degree or HNC qualification in a relevant field
