Job summary

Gleeds invites applications for an experienced Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, with offices in Nottingham or Birmingham. The role focuses on pre- and post-contract cost management across multiple sectors, with Industrial experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning.
• MRICS qualification is desirable.
• Experience in post-contract cost management tasks.
• Clear and effective communication skills, oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
• Developing, growing and maintaining Customer relationships.
• Delivering cost management deliverables meeting Customer requirements.
• Managing projects and delivering high quality services in line with procedures.
• Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies.
• Cost planning.
• Cost-in-use studies.
• Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.
• Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process.
• Evaluating and reporting on tenders.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
• Settling final accounts.
• Administering contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent.
• Producing and presenting reports to Customers.
• Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across Business Units.
• Managing service delivery for profit.
• Advising Directors of issues affecting projects and PI insurance.
