Job Description
Turner & Townsend seeks a Cost Manager to join our Health, Science & Education team for a high-profile project within our London Real Estate division. Our team is dynamic, innovative, and client-focused, supported by an inclusive and engaging company culture. Our clients value our proactive approach, expertise, integrity, and quality.

The London Cost Management Health team handles prestigious health projects across public and private sectors, from refurbishments to large hospitals. As part of the wider Health, Education, and Science team, there are opportunities to develop skills across sectors.

Turner & Townsend is a leading consultancy in the Health, Science & Education sector, providing industry-leading services based on extensive experience and data-driven insights.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

• To perform as the Cost Manager, responsible for end-to-end service delivery or as part of a larger project team on complex projects.
• To ensure client objectives are met through effective cost management from pre-contract to handover.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in healthcare and/or education sectors.
• Ability to lead clients through project stages from feasibility to completion.
• Experience with projects delivered via Two-Stage tendering.
• Experience working with JCT and NEC contracts.
• Proven experience interfacing with stakeholders and being client-facing.
• Knowledge of risks, challenges, and opportunities facing public-sector healthcare bodies.
• Experience producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting to clients.
• Experience managing procurement processes effectively.
• Ability to negotiate and finalize accounts.
• Knowledge of contract administration, value engineering, and lifecycle costing.
• Experience using CostX or similar measurement software.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction, cost management, or Quantity surveying preferred.
• MRICS qualification and relevant experience preferred.
• Good understanding of construction industry technical matters, procurement routes, value management, and engineering.
• Experience in Education sector projects is advantageous.
