Job summary

Lorien is currently seeking a Cost Manager on a 6-month contract in Glasgow with hybrid working arrangements.

The role involves managing cost control activities across a portfolio of projects, forecasting, VOWD, reporting, and providing insights to project teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong forecasting, cost reporting, variance analysis skills and advanced Excel experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Cost Control, Cost Engineering, or Project Controls.
• Strong forecasting, cost reporting, and variance analysis skills.
• Experience working across multiple projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel and project controls/reporting tool experience.

• Manage cost control activities across multiple projects, including forecasting, Value of Work Done (VOWD), reporting, and contract management integration.
• Produce accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Present cost data at monthly cost reviews, explaining key variances and trends.
• Provide actionable insights to project teams and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of cost control processes and reporting.
