Job summary

Co-op Digital in Manchester is seeking a Cost and Funding Analyst to drive trusted cost management across the Digital, Technology & Data (DT&D) function. You’ll own end-to-end recharge processes, ensure accurate cost attribution, and provide funding insights to enable confident decisions.

You’ll work with large datasets, collaborate with Finance and DT&D teams, and present recommendations to stakeholders, helping shape reporting and cost strategies for the business.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills to identify trends and risks.
• Experience supporting recharge, cost allocation or funding processes.
• Ability to translate data into clear insights and business stories.
• Confident presenting information to stakeholders at different levels.
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to challenge processes.

Responsibilities

• Run and improve our end-to-end internal recharge processes, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and trusted.
• Maintain and update recharge rules, rate cards and supporting documentation.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to produce meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with Finance and DT&D teams to ensure data integrity, auditability and alignment on financial treatment.
• Provide cost and funding information that supports cost tracking, investment decisions and value-for-money assessments.
• Present insights, options and recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls and reduce manual activity.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues across DT&D and Finance to support effective decision making.
