Job description

Overview

We have a current opportunity for a Cost Estimator on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Hampshire.

We are looking for a Cost Estimator to join our client on a 12 month contract. 2 days a week in the office in Hampshire and 3 days WFH.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the cost estimate of services, equipment, construction and other sub-contracted services based on the technical specifications and bills of materials developed by the Engineering Departments and collaborate with the Other Department when tender and cost information is required from suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Preparation of cost estimating methodology report narrative including description of methodologies, data sources, inclusions, exclusions, and all other main information covering cost estimating activities.
  • Preparation of Capital Expenditures Cost Estimates (CAPEX) in line with Company provided engineering deliverables, Company requirements and with Company CBS.
  • Cost trends analysis, price analysis, market analysis and cost benchmarking.
  • Reviews of third-party estimates, review of Company estimates, analysis of estimates submitted by Company, estimate scaling up/down, estimate sensitivities.
  • Ensure the development and standardisation of systems, procedure and cost estimating techniques and the analysis of current and past cost data for use in preparation of proposals and cost estimates.
  • In conjunction with the Job Manager, check that the documented price information is in accordance with management sanction
