Estimating Manager Warwick, Warwickshire, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Reporting to the Director of Rail, the Estimating Manager will ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates for new projects and schemes within the designated business sector. Collaboration with project management and engineering teams is essential to ensure all aspects of the project are accurately considered and costed.

This role offers hybrid working, with occasional presence at our Warwick Head office.

What you’ll do:

• Support the production and submission of accurate, comprehensive estimates efficiently
• Manage the estimating process at bid, project, or scheme level
• Challenge cost estimates produced by SMEs in Delivery and Engineering
• Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation for detailed cost estimates
• Minimize selling costs and response times using standard processes and pricing tools
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and proposals
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers on project plans and schedules
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, etc., to gather information

Who you are:

You have proven experience in estimating roles, with strong cost modeling and analysis skills. As an expert in Excel, you combine technical proficiency with stakeholder management and communication skills to support accurate decision-making.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in Transport, Utilities, Telecoms, Construction, or similar industries, providing estimating services in large projects or multiple workstreams
• Expertise in Excel
• Strong mathematical skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in office, site, and client/sub-contractor environments
• Full clean driving license with flexibility to be in HQ as required
