Job: Cost Engineer / Estimator - Infrastructure


Location: London, UK (Hybrid)

Type: Full-time

What You’ll Be Doing:

Collaborate with senior cost and estimating professionals to develop consistent, high-quality cost plans.

Independently produce detailed cost estimates and planning documentation for major infrastructure schemes.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members within the estimating function.

Monitor preconstruction budgets and support change management processes.

Conduct quantification activities and contribute to benchmarking and data collection efforts.

Engage with cross-functional teams including procurement and planning to compile comprehensive estimates.

Present and defend cost estimates to both internal stakeholders and external partners with confidence and clarity.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

Strong proficiency in Excel and similar analytical tools.

Effective communicator with strong client-facing skills.

Experience working with infrastructure main contractors - civil engineering focus preferred.

Commercial or operational background in construction.

Desirable:

Experience using Candy Estimating Software.

Familiarity with RIB CostX for quantification and estimating.

Understanding of AACE Estimating Class guidelines and principles.

Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB, etc.).

Flexibility to work across multiple project sites if needed.
