Rullion Ltd invites applications for a Cost Controller role based in Derby with travel to client sites. The project-focused position sits within a cost control team, requiring SC clearance and a 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri), with 2–3 days in the office/on-site.

You will tailor cost control approaches, implement robust budgeting and forecasting processes, develop cost breakdown structures, and produce regular cost reports with earned value analysis to support project progress decisions.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with cost performance reporting and forecasting techniques.
• Experience leading Cost Control Assurance activities within project performance cadence.
• Understanding of EVM, progress reporting and performance analysis.
• Practical MS Excel experience; familiarity with cost control tools.
• Travel to client sites across the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Tailor cost control approaches to client needs and align with best practice.
• Promote cost control requirements within project and programme teams.
• Implement and maintain cost control systems to track budgets, commitments and expenditures.
• Develop CBS and align budgets with WBS for accurate cost tracking.
• Map estimates to WBS, set budgets against work packages and control accounts.
• Lead accrual production to reflect Actual Cost of Work Performed.
• Provide cost reporting tools and regular cost reports with EV analysis.
• Advise on status reports and support management decisions.
• Train clients and junior team members on cost control processes.
