Job summary

Aureos Highways are recruiting for a Cost Clerk to support them on their major highways project in Dungeness. You will help manage costs by collecting, analysing and reporting to maximise contract margins and cash collection for the project.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a busy site environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good planning and time management under deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Check and pre-approve material and external plant invoices.
• Code and allocate delivery tickets in line with cost load and deliverables.
• Analyse weekly material and plant schedules.
• Interrogate and evaluate staff and labour costs.
• Assist commercial lead with monthly reporting requirements and deliverables.
• Prepare cost transfers to ensure correct cost allocation.
• Provide supporting documentation for periodic applications.
• Reconcile cost reporting with financial reporting.
