Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a personable and energetic Consultant for its Cost Assurance team across Bristol, Cardiff and Plymouth. The role focuses on reviewing incurred costs, driving supply chain improvements and ensuring contractual compliance on major programmes.

You will work within the Ireland/European Advisory business, offering guidance and coordinating with senior colleagues to deliver high-quality assurance work.

Qualifications

• Assurance or audit experience in construction, commercial or accounting settings.
• Construction procurement knowledge (NEC3/4)
• Ability to assess cost accuracy and entitlement
• Change management and forecast control
• Data analysis with PowerBI/Tableau
• Clear reporting of complex messages to stakeholders
• People management and teamwork
• Presentation skills to influence stakeholders
• Professional scepticism and independence
• Degree in a relevant subject; professional body membership preferred

Responsibilities

• Undertake assurance reviews across major construction projects and programmes, assessing supply chain systems and contract administration for compliance.
• Produce written findings, recommendations and messages in a succinct, professional manner.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to bids and business development.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, supporting their development.
• Support service line development and internal training improvements.
