Job summary

Matchtech assists a prominent hospitality-focused client in recruiting for a permanent Product Development role. The position leads development and project management of new products, including cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations.

The role involves global meetings, briefing to Global Product Development teams, regulatory label compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to bring products to market successfully.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cosmetics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in international business trade, hospitality or personal care sectors.
• Experience with cosmetics development and hospitality product ranges.

Responsibilities

• Participate in global meetings for project and product development and tenders.
• Brief Global Product Development teams across design, R&D, and engineering.
• Prepare compliance paperwork for label printing per UK/EU regulations.
• Manage supplier communications for cost quoting and RFPS.
• Coordinate pre-production sample reviews before mass production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, Design, Marketing, Engineering, and QA.
• Develop new product codes and detailed specifications.
• Monitor cosmetics safety assessments for new products.
• Ensure formula compliance with UK/EU regulations.
• Support sustainability packaging checks and insights.
