A well-established independent firm in Birmingham is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior/Manager to coordinate corporate tax work, manage compliance, and assist with advisory projects. A fantastic corporate tax opportunity has arisen within the tax team of a well-established independent firm located in the West of Birmingham, with a strong focus on work-life balance for their staff. Working closely with the Tax Director, accounts, audit departments, and other tax colleagues, this role involves coordinating corporate tax work within the firm—managing compliance and assisting with advisory projects.
This firm has a varied client base, ranging in size, industry, and complexity. As the Corporate Tax Senior/Manager, you will review corporate tax returns completed by other departments and serve as the go-to person for more complex matters. You will manage a diverse portfolio, ensuring deadlines are met, technical queries are resolved, and excellent relationships are maintained with clients. Additionally, you will support the Tax Director with corporate tax projects, undertaking research and preparing advisory reports on various tax matters.
You will possess prior UK corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy firm. Ideally, you will hold ATT qualifications; those partly or fully ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified will also be considered. You should have a good level of technical knowledge regarding corporate tax compliance, be up-to-date with legislative changes, and be able to confidently manage a client portfolio.
As a great communicator, you will collaborate effectively with colleagues and maintain strong client relationships. You must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, have good attention to detail, and work independently to manage your workload.
