Our Peterborough office is looking for a pro-active corporate tax advisory Manager/Senior Manager to join our growing and dynamic corporate tax team, providing direct support on corporate tax advisory projects.
The role
The advisory work will be varied, as the client base spans diverse sectors including property, innovation, landed estates, financial services, and not-for-profit organizations.
You will be involved in tax planning and advisory projects such as structuring acquisitions, disposals, group reorganisations, due diligence, property and land transactions, capital allowance claims, and R&D tax credits.
The role includes some staff responsibilities and work planning. Most reporting will be directly to a corporate tax partner or director.
Ongoing training will be provided, with opportunities to attend internal and external sessions. The role offers a good range of work for candidates with a solid corporate tax advisory background.
The team
Our Southern Regional Group includes four offices in Bristol, Peterborough, Bournemouth, and High Wycombe, with over 30 corporate tax staff, including two Partners, three Directors, and five Senior Managers.
This position is based in our Peterborough office, with opportunities to work across all four offices.
You
Candidates should be proactive, resilient, and skilled in marketing their expertise and that of the firm, both one-on-one and in presentations. They should be innovative, with vision, creativity, and flair, and possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels. A commercial mindset and clear understanding of client needs are essential.
Recent practical experience advising owner-managed businesses is required, with a detailed and current knowledge of corporate tax issues. Technical skills are important, but the role also demands a team-oriented, flexible personality, problem-solving abilities, and initiative. The candidate must be able to analyze tax issues from both the company's and owners' perspectives.
Applicants should preferably be CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified.
