Job summary

Clark Wood - Tax Recruitment seeks an experienced Corporate Tax Director to lead and grow the Leeds tax practice. The role focuses on developing the corporate tax offering, managing a broad client portfolio, and delivering advisory, planning and compliance services—from owner-managed businesses to quoted groups.

You will mentor junior staff, work closely with partners, and play a key role in generating new business while ensuring excellent client service and practical tax solutions.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.
• Experience in UK corporate tax with several years' post-qualification experience.
• From a Top 100, large regional firm or tax consultancy background.
• Technically strong, commercially minded with practical tax solutions.
• Experience in client management, business development and project delivery.
• Confident communicator with leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Director to join a highly regarded and growing tax team in Leeds, with the potential for progression to Equity Partner.

The role will focus on developing the corporate tax offering in the local market, managing a significant client portfolio and delivering high-quality advisory, planning and compliance services to a diverse range of businesses, from owner-managed companies to quoted groups.

The Role

Key areas of work will include:

• Corporate tax advisory and planning
• M&A and corporate transactions
• Property transactions, reconstructions and demergers
• Share schemes, EIS/SEIS and R&D tax
• Patent Box, exit and succession planning
• Corporate tax compliance and reporting

You will also be responsible for developing client relationships and new business, identifying cross-selling opportunities, managing projects and budgets, and contributing to the wider growth and strategy of the office.

An important part of the role will be leading, coaching and developing junior team members, while working closely with partners and other service lines to deliver an excellent client experience.

About You
