Job description

We are searching for an experienced Corporate Tax Associate.

About the department

When you become part of our team, you’ll discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it. We’re simply not a one-size-fits-all firm and work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of RSM and our clients.

Our National Corporate Tax Service Line works with clients across a broad range of business types and sectors, from owner-managed businesses and middle market organisations to large multinational groups. We manage their tax affairs on the compliance side whilst also acting as expert advisors when planning matters arise. The latter includes, but is not limited to, due diligence, transactions and restructuring, as well as innovation reliefs.

About the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing tax team at an incredibly exciting part of our growth journey. As a consequence of recent senior hires and client wins, we are looking to enhance our team further with the addition of a Corporate Tax Associate near one of our Southern Region offices, such as Guildford, Reading, Gatwick or Southampton. You will find an environment that offers opportunities to accelerate your knowledge, skills, and development within a creative, entrepreneurial, and supportive team working with many fantastic clients.

The Corporate Tax Associate will be an integral part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team supporting a range of interesting, expanding, and entrepreneurial companies and their owners across sectors like technology, manufacturing, leisure & tourism, retail, professional services, and construction.

  • Be part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team supporting diverse, fast-growing, entrepreneurial companies and larger corporates, including international clients.
  • Act as a key member of the client service team, serving as a day-to-day contact for clients, engaging with their teams, and planning work delivery.
  • Maintain an understanding of the firm's capabilities and relevant economic factors affecting clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality corporation tax compliance services, addressing HMRC queries or payments.
  • Support the delivery of technically accurate, clear, and concise tax advice tailored to client risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to provide comprehensive services and identify tax risks and opportunities.
  • Commit to continual learning and personal development to benefit clients and your career.
About the ideal candidate
  • ATT qualified or ACA, ACCA, or CTA part-qualified.
  • Experience in an accountancy practice with solid corporate tax knowledge.
  • Proven client handling skills and managing a busy portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with specialist tax software is advantageous.
