Corporate Services Manager / Company Secretary
South London, Hybrid, FTC, £52,670 pa
We are seeking a skilled HR/Governance professional who enjoys variety and challenges. The role involves leading HR services, managing office facilities, supporting board governance, and handling communications. Our client is registered with the Regulator of Social Housing, providing homes and support across south London to diverse communities, mainly black and ethnic minorities. They operate in 8 London boroughs, offering general needs housing, supported housing schemes, shared ownership, floating support, and childcare services.
The Corporate Services Manager will support the Director of Finance & Resources, Deputy CEO, the Board, and Senior Management in governance, HR, and corporate services, embedding risk culture, ensuring compliance, and strengthening internal controls.
A full JD is available. For the FTC, the priorities include:
- HR: Employee relations, training, recruitment, IIP re-accreditation, appraisals, training plans
- Payroll: liaising with outsourced provider
- Company Secretarial: liaising with the board and minute-taking
To succeed, candidates should have:
- CIPD qualification or working towards it, with CPD commitment
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification
- HR support experience, including organizational change and policies
- Knowledge of corporate governance and secretarial practices
- Understanding of social housing regulations and legal requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience preparing reports for management and the board
- Proficiency in report writing and minute-taking
