CapeClarke is seeking a Senior Corporate Associate to join a leading Corporate team in Guildford, Surrey. You will handle high-value M&A and corporate transactions, advising clients from instruction to completion and collaborating with partners, clients and advisers.

The role offers partner support, client exposure and clear progression, with hybrid working and ample development opportunities within a top 50 UK law firm.

Qualifications

• SRA-qualified Corporate Solicitor with 6+ PQE in Private Practice Corporate Law.
• Strong M&A / corporate transactions background.
• Experience managing transactions from start to finish.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience supervising junior colleagues.
• Business development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of corporate law and corporate transactions, including M&A, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, investment transactions, spin-outs, shareholder matters and company law.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documentation and provide corporate legal advice, while managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
• Supervise and support junior solicitors and lawyers, working with clients, partners and other advisers.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management, developing your profile and building long-term client relationships.

A leading Top 50 UK law firm with an excellent Legal 500-ranked Corporate practice is looking to appoint a Senior Corporate Associate / Corporate Solicitor with 6+ PQE to join its growing Corporate team in Guildford, Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer to work on a broad range of high-value M&A, corporate, venture capital and investment transactions within a highly regarded and ambitious team.

The role offers great client exposure, strong partner support and genuine opportunities for progression, allowing you to further develop your technical expertise, business development skills and profile within a successful Corporate practice.

As a Senior Corporate Associate / Corporate Solicitor, you will:

• Advise on a broad range of corporate law and corporate transactions, including M&A, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, investment transactions, spin-outs, shareholder matters and company law.
• You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating transaction documentation and providing corporate legal advice, while managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
• The role will involve working directly with clients, partners and other professional advisers, as well as supervising and supporting junior solicitors and lawyers.
• You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development and client relationship management, while developing your own profile and building long-term client relationships.

Experience Required

• SRA-qualified Corporate Solicitor with 6+ PQE within Private Practice Corporate Law
• Experienced corporate lawyer with a strong M&A / corporate transactions background
• Solicitor with experience managing transactions from start to finish
• Strong communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ideally Experience or some exposure to supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
• Ideally previous business development experience
