Job summary

Abacus Careers is seeking a Corporate Solicitor to join a leading Belfast corporate team. This role suits a solicitor at the Associate or Senior Associate level, or recently qualified, looking to develop in a high-performing, supportive environment.

You’ll advise on M&A, private equity, restructurings, shareholder agreements and governance, working closely with partners and clients on complex matters across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 1–8 years post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.
• Experience across high-value cross-border deals is desirable.

The Role

You’ll work as part of an experienced corporate team advising on a broad range of high-quality matters including:

About You

Our client is keen for someone who is:

• Qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland or ROI/UK jurisdiction.
• Experienced in corporate law, with the firm open to levels at jnr and mid level e.g. 1–8 years' post-qualification experience.
• Commercially minded, with strong technical skills and an interest in deal-making.
• A confident communicator with strong drafting and negotiation experience.
• Organised, proactive, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
