Job summary

Beach Baker Property Recruitment is seeking a Surveyor to join an established Estate Management team in Birmingham/ Manchester, working within a major occupier property management function. You will work on a large and geographically diverse portfolio, with regular client contact and opportunities to develop your general surveying experience alongside landlords, agents and other property professionals.

Qualifications

• A property or estate management degree, or equivalent.
• RICS membership or working towards qualification.
• Around 2 years’ experience.
• Property management experience within a consultancy or corporate environment.
• Grounding across general surveying.
• Knowledge of property management legislation.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience with property management systems such as PROLEASE, TRAMPS or PM&A.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of the client portfolio.
• Liaise with clients, landlords and agents.
• Act as intermediary between landlord and tenant.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities for occupier clients.
• Monitor income collection and tenant liaison on sublet properties.
• Ensure compliance with lease terms and property management legislation.
• Transactional management such as rent reviews and lease renewals.
• Build strong client and internal relationships.
• Collaborate with other property teams to deliver joined-up service.
• Support more junior colleagues.
