Simpson Judge in London seeks an experienced Corporate Managing Associate or Legal Director to lead high‑value M&A and private equity transactions within a national corporate practice. Corporate Managing Associate or Legal Director 6-10 PQE

Location: London

Contract: Permanent, full-time

A leading UK law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Corporate Managing Associate or Legal Director to its growing London team.

The successful candidate will join an established national corporate practice advising entrepreneurs, businesses, investors, private-equity houses and financial institutions on sophisticated UK and cross-border transactions.

The role

You will take a leading role on matters including:

• Mergers, acquisitions and disposals
• Private-equity investments and exits
• Joint ventures and strategic investments
• Shareholders' and investment agreements
• Corporate restructurings and reorganisations
• Due diligence and transaction management
• Corporate advisory and governance matters

You will be responsible for leading transactions, negotiating principal documents and managing matters from initial instruction through to completion.

The position will also involve developing client relationships, supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the London corporate practice.

The candidate

The firm is looking for someone who:

• Has between 6 and 10 years' corporate PQE
• Has a strong track record of leading M&A transactions
• Has experience across private equity, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements or corporate reorganisations
• Possesses excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction-management skills
• Can manage clients and transactions with limited supervision
• Is comfortable supervising and developing junior lawyers
• Is commercially minded and interested in business development
• Works effectively within a collaborative, cross-office practice

A portable following is not required, but an interest in building relationships and developing new business would be beneficial.
