Job Description:

This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by acting as the company's Legal Counsel supporting the organization’s operations in Europe.

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial documents, including supply, purchase, non-disclosure, service, energy, and joint development agreements.
• Managing corporate entity filings and governance procedures for UK, Ireland, and, as necessary, Germany and Switzerland.
• Advising on competition law aspects of agreements and initiatives.
• Supporting M&A integration and harmonization of policies and practices.
• Providing counsel on import/export and trade issues.
• Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws, including GDPR.
• Advising on ESG, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, and modern slavery compliance.
• Handling customer and supplier quality claims.
• Managing outside counsel relationships.
• Collaborating with legal, HR, sales, procurement, quality, and other teams.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Professional qualification (Solicitor or international equivalent).
• 8+ years of proven experience, including at least 2 years in-house and experience in large law firm general corporate practice.
• Manufacturing experience and knowledge of accounting governance preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Results-driven with focus on objectives and deadlines.
• Familiarity with the packaging industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
