Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop precedents, templates, and practical guidance.
• Track legal, regulatory, and market developments; keep lawyers updated.
• Act as technical sounding board for fee-earners on complex queries.
• Supervise knowledge paralegals and fee-earner contributors.
• Design and run corporate training programmes for all levels.
• Produce client alerts, toolkits, thought leadership, and support pitches.
• Help design automated documents, AI workflows, and playbooks.
• Improve how corporate knowledge is organized and found across systems.

About the opportunity

My client, a highly regarded full‑service London law firm, is investing significantly in knowledge and innovation. They are looking for a senior Corporate Knowledge Lawyer to lead know‑how, training and legal technology for their corporate practice.

The knowledge function is still taking shape, so this is a chance to help build it rather than maintain someone else’s. You’ll work closely with the firm’s knowledge leadership and have genuine influence over how the corporate team works, learns and uses technology.

The role

Your main focus will be the corporate transactional and advisory practice, with scope to support related practice groups. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining precedents, templates and practical guidance
• Tracking legal, regulatory and market developments and keeping lawyers up to date
• Acting as a technical sounding board for fee‑earners on complex queries
• Supervising knowledge paralegals and fee‑earner contributors
• Designing and running the corporate training programme, from trainees to senior associates
• Producing client alerts, toolkits and thought leadership, and supporting pitches and seminars
• Helping design automated documents, AI workflows and playbooks, and championing their adoption
• Improving how corporate knowledge is organised and found across the firm’s systems

About you

• Qualified in England and Wales
• Either an established corporate Knowledge Lawyer, or a corporate associate with 6+ years’ PQE from a quality firm who is ready to move into knowledge
• A precise drafter who can turn complex law into clear, practical guidance
• Confident presenting to partners, junior lawyers and clients alike
• Organised and proactive, able to juggle competing priorities and stakeholders
• Collaborative, with a commercial outlook
• Genuinely interested in legal technology, AI and better ways of working
