Job description

We are looking for a driven Corporate Fundraising Manager who is passionate about health charities and the role the charity plays in supporting the needs of local patients.

As a key member of the Charity Team, the Corporate Fundraising Manager must have the creativity, skill and knowledge to deliver the best charity experience to supporters to support the wider strategy.

The post-holder will sit within a small Charity fundraising team and provide an important link between the Charity and the local community, volunteers, fundraisers and hospital staff.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues to deliver an effective donor experience to major donors and corporates.

Main duties of the job
  • Prospect and apply for corporate partnerships
  • Steward existing corporate partnerships to reach their full fundraising potential
  • Cultivate and steward major donors

Skills - Degree level or equivalent experience. Desirable to have a fundraising qualification.

Qualities - Acute relationship building skills, determined and highly motivated, focused, self-led, organised, uses initiative, proactive, ideas generator, good time management and identifying opportunities, ability to manage and prioritise workload.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will play a leading role in maximising income and generating funds to agreed targets through targeted corporate and major donor recruitment and development. Key responsibilities will include detailed research, framing proposals for support, facilitating cultivation events and working closely with the Trust to identify projects that require substantial philanthropic support.

The post holder will require local geographic knowledge as well as knowledge of regional Corporate Fundraising. The post holder must be highly organised, self-motivated, competent in creating and delivering targeted pitches that meet the business objectives with a proven ability to convert leads into successful wins. They will also require considerable networking working skills with the ability to identify influential contacts both internally and externally. The ability to convey complex messages with confidence and with powers of persuasion is essential detailed in written cases for support and presentations.

Education & Qualification
  • Educated to degree level or diploma in Fundraising or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Diploma
Experience & Knowledge
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to self-motivate, prioritise own workload with minimal supervision
  • To have effective written and verbal communication skills, able to draft correspondence and reports
  • Past track record of achieving high value partnerships - major donor/corporate
Skills & Abilities
  • To be able to work effectively in a small team
