Job summary

Cowgills, part of the Sumer Group, is seeking an experienced Corporate Finance professional to lead transactions from inception to completion. You will work with Partners and Directors, build client relationships, and manage the full due diligence process on sell side deals with private equity exposure.

You will prepare information memoranda, review junior work, contribute to negotiations and pitches, and help identify new business opportunities across Corporate Finance.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA or CFQ qualification (or equivalent), ideally with first time passes
• Strong financial analysis and Excel / PowerPoint skills
• Confident in presenting and articulating findings
• Several years’ experience in a lead advisory role and completed deals in the £5m to £50m EV range

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate finance transactions from inception to completion with Partners/Directors oversight
• Build relationships with clients, predominantly on sell side transactions with private equity exposure
• Prepare information memoranda and review junior work on information memoranda
• Manage the full due diligence process and contribute to commercial/legal negotiations
• Prepare pitch documents and contribute to pitch meetings
• Support growth by identifying relevant business opportunities and revenue opportunities
• Manage junior resources, workflow, and review of work
• Conduct sector analysis and valuations for transactions
• Develop a network of professional contacts

Key Responsibilities

• Working with Partners and Directors to lead and manage corporate finance transactions from inception to completion
• Have the ability to lead certain transactions with partner/director oversight
• Build strong relationships with clients, working predominantly on sell side transactions, with private equity exposure
• Prepare information memoranda and review junior work on information memoranda
• Manage the full due diligence process and be able to contribute to commercial / legal negotiation points
• Prepare pitch documents and contribute to pitch meetings
• Support the team’s ongoing growth, including beginning to identify relevant business opportunities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Corporate Finance and the wider firm and group, begin to identify wider revenue generating referral opportunities
• Manage junior resource, including assisting in their development, managing workflow and reviewing work
• Manage research and analyse transactions and sector analysis
• Prepare financial valuations and returns analysis
• Have started to build a network of professional contacts
