Job summary

Malt is seeking an experienced professional to join our Corporate Communications & Public Affairs team in London. This role will focus on defining and deploying Malt's corporate PR strategy across Europe, particularly in the UK market, and developing relationships with key journalists.

The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in corporate communications or PR, with a strong background in the tech ecosystem. You will also play a vital role in shaping Malt’s voice and reputation in the freelance and AI talent sectors.

Job description

You will join the Corporate Communications & Public Affairs team, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. Based in London, this role plays a central part in shaping Malt’s European voice and reputation. Your mission: make Malt a reference platform for the future of work, freelancing and AI-enabled talent across Europe.

Key responsibilities
  • Define and deploy Malt’s European corporate PR strategy with a focus on the UK market.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with top-tier journalists and specialist media.
  • Develop executive thought leadership and media positioning for the CEO and Malt X spokespersons.
  • Craft compelling narratives and write high-impact papers, op-eds, and briefings that align with business priorities.
  • Manage the communication agency relationship to ensure Malt maintains DNA ownership while driving media clippings.
  • Coordinate media activities including interviews, press events, and ecosystem associations (Tech, HR).
  • Support institutional relations and navigate sensitive or crisis communications when required.
About you
  • Ideally educated to a high level in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate communications or PR, preferably within the tech ecosystem or senior public sector roles.
  • Extensive network: You possess a large, well-established address book of journalist contacts and media relationships.
  • Language skills: English at a native level is mandatory; French is a strong plus.
  • Strategic & Agile: Proven ability to move fast in a scaling organization while managing senior stakeholders and executives.
