Job description

Danoners are steering us to a more sustainable future, helping to make the world healthier. As a certified B-Corp, we have our Danone Impact Journey to 2026. This will only be possible with each and every one of our leaders. Do you want to be one of them?

Role Purpose:

The Corporate Communications Manager helps to build and, where necessary, protect the corporate reputation of Danone in the UK and Ireland. In contributing to this goal, the individual uses media relations as a channel to raise the company and its leaders’ profiles, helps manage the Danone UKI press office, drives key external campaigns, and manages and develops digital channels.

Role Focus:

  1. Work with the Head of Corporate Communications to develop and implement a corporate communications strategy that enhances Danone's reputation both online and offline.
  2. Respond to media requests across Danone’s brand portfolio promptly and independently, including participating in a 24-hour coverage rota and managing the press inbox.
  3. Manage and deliver campaigns that tell the Danone UKI story, aligned with a broader corporate affairs plan, with a deep understanding of Danone UKI’s main categories and business footprint (Essential Dairy, Plant-Based, Beverages, Specialised Nutrition).
  4. Manage issues and crisis communication protocols effectively.
  5. Oversee media monitoring services, support social media channel management, and maintain the corporate website and social media monitoring tools.
  6. Support the Head of Corporate Communications during crises and moments requiring reputation management.
  7. Provide reputational oversight and media advice on UK brand PR activities as needed (not delivery).
  8. Help profile Danone’s leaders through media engagement and other digital and face-to-face channels.
  9. Design and deliver campaigns positioning Danone as a leader in health.
  10. Engage with stakeholders, including building relationships with journalists and opinion leaders.
About you

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Comprehensive experience in communications, preferably within FMCG or heavily regulated categories.
  • Proven track record managing corporate communications within large, complex organizations.
  • Experience in issues and crisis communication, with strong journalistic writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience managing media proactively and reactively.
  • Experience in developing and managing digital channels, including social media.
  • Ability to create and execute campaign plans and contribute to wider communications strategies.
