Role Purpose

The Corporate Communications Manager helps to build and, where necessary, protect the corporate reputation of Danone in the UK and Ireland. In contributing to this goal, the individual uses media relations as a channel to raise the company and its leaders’ profiles, helps manage the Danone UKI press office, drives key external campaigns, & manages and develops digital channels.

Role Focus

• Work with the Head of Corporate Communications to develop and deliver a corporate communications strategy that leverages and protects Danone’s reputation both online and offline.
• Respond to media requests across Danone’s brand portfolio efficiently and independently, including participating in a 24-hour cover rota and managing a press inbox.
• Manage and deliver campaigns that tell the Danone UKI story, aligned with a broader corporate affairs plan, based on a deep understanding of Danone UKI’s main categories and business footprint (Essential Dairy, Plant Based, Beverages, Specialised Nutrition).
• Manage issues and crisis communication protocols.
• Support social media management, corporate website, and media monitoring services.
• Assist the Head of Corporate Communications during crises and reputation management moments.
• Provide media advice on UK brand PR activities (not delivery).
• Help profile Danone’s leaders across media and digital channels.
• Shape and deliver campaigns positioning Danone as a leader in health.
• Engage with stakeholders and build relationships with journalists and opinion leaders.

About You

• Experience in comprehensive communications, preferably within FMCG or heavily regulated sectors.
• Proven track record in managing corporate communications within large, complex organizations.
• Skills in issues and crisis communication, journalistic writing, and media management.
• Experience in managing digital channels, including social media.
• Ability to create and implement campaign plans and contribute to wider communication strategies.
• Stakeholder engagement experience is beneficial but not essential.

Salary Bracket: The salary range is £55,000 - £65,000 plus bonus and benefits.
