Qualifications

  • Must have a law degree and 2+ years of legal experience in a tech environment.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is essential.

Your Role in our Mission

This role will lead and collaborate in contract negotiations while building strong collaborative relationships internally and externally. Your approach is pragmatic, customer focused and collaborative – your goal is to reduce friction and drive efficiency for the business and our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing general legal and compliance support across the business, and assisting the Head of Legal as and when required
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a range of global commercial contracts, including sales, renewals, partner/referral and supplier agreements, in addition to other corporate agreements that arise
  • Implementing and managing legal and compliance processes and assisting the compliance teams across the business
  • Promoting legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company
  • Working with the Head of Legal and identifying areas to continually improve and drive efficiency into the contracting process with internal and external stakeholders
Skills
  • LLB or equivalent degree from an accredited law school
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ [post qualification] corporate/commercial legal experience in a tech business/environment
  • Proven technical understanding and proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Working experience with the laws of England and Wales and some exposure to the laws of Australia and the United States, is advantageous.
  • Proven experience of handling data privacy issues in the context of commercial transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written, oral, listening, and organisational skills with proven ability to interact effectively with varied audiences, including leadership team members
  • Proven competence to take on new challenges and work independently, with a “can-do” attitude, in a very fast-paced and constantly evolving business environment
  • Previous experience in the review and improvement of contract templates, legal IT systems, practices and processes
  • Demonstrable experience providing clear legal advice on new go-to-market activities and initiatives
