Cumberland Council's Corporate Finance Team is seeking a permanent lead on technical accounting and financial control across the Council. The role focuses on accounting controls, reconciliations, and producing core elements of the annual Statement of Accounts.

A permanent leadership role in Cumberland Council's Corporate Finance Team, covering technical accounting and financial control across the whole Council. The main work is leading accounting controls and reconciliations, producing parts of the annual Statement of Accounts and keeping statutory returns on time. It involves close work with service managers, senior leaders and external partners on financial planning, with hybrid working available. Applicants must be qualified accountants, and the essential criteria are set out in a separate post specification.
