Job description

We're looking for a talented Corporate Accountant to join our Finance Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a fast-paced environment, contributing to Consolidations and Corporate Accounting. Key objectives

Provide essential support to the Consolidation & Corporate Accounting team by ensuring accurate and timely quarterly financial reporting while maintaining precise accounting records

What you will be doing...

  • Preparation & management of weekly cash-flow forecasts, processing bank transactions (including maintaining automation rules) and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Business partnering with budget holders/heads of departments to deliver quarterly financial close numbers and where applicable assist with preparation of annual budget and 5yr forecast for overheads
  • Support the UK consolidation team with the quarterly financial deliverables, including accruals, group reconciliations and analysis
  • Reconciliation of UK audit fees and other group consulting fees, including communication of recharges to the accountants
  • Review, approval and processing of entities purchase orders, and invoices. This includes providing guidance and training to budget holders on coding.
  • Assisting the Stats team with the preparation of audit packs and statutory accounts in addition to preparing tax packs for the URW tax computations
  • Support Corporate Finance Manager with analysis of quarterly admin results vs budget & forecast
  • Support the Corporate Finance Manager with Intercompany reconciliations (both global & local)
  • Production of half year and year-end audit file for review and discussion with external auditors
  • Preparation of VAT returns for relevant entities
  • Preparation of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Continuous improvement of reporting outputs, processes and systems
  • Ad hoc duties as required
What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?
  • Strong analytical and planning skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver high quality quarterly reporting within deadlines
  • Strong financial and system skills - SAP experience advantageous, BFC nice to have
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to fit into a fast moving, demanding, complex, and constantly evolving business
  • Part Qualified (working towards qualifications)
