Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking teachers or specialist SEND practitioners to work in a 1:1 tutoring capacity with children and young people who have diverse learning needs. The role focuses on a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to boost engagement and improve educational outcomes.

Sessions take place in the student’s home or local community in Greater Manchester, with hours starting at 2 hours per day per student.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes.
• Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed).
• Two professional references.
• Hold the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Planning each session of teaching/tutoring/mentoring.
• Providing holistic and engaging sessions which meet needs and progress educational and social-emotional journey.
• Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress.

The role:

• This role will involve providing education on a 1:1 basis to students
• Sessions will take place within their home or local community of Greater Manchester.
• Hours will be from 2 hours per day per student
• Students will require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
• If selected, your role will be to provide this support via flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring

• Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young persons progress

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs
