Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed SEND Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in or around Thaxted who have additional learning and behavioural needs.

You will create and deliver bespoke lessons aimed at bridging learning gaps, boosting confidence, and helping students reconnect with education, requiring a patient, adaptable approach.

The role offers competitive pay of £25 per hour and flexible working arrangements to suit your availability.

Qualifications

• QTS, equivalent teaching qualification, or relevant learning support experience.
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring students.
• Strong understanding of the PMY/SEC curriculum.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed SEND Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in or around Thaxted who have additional learning and behavioural needs.

In this role, you will create and deliver bespoke lessons aimed at bridging learning gaps, boosting confidence, and helping students reconnect with education. Many of the pupils you support may have been away from mainstream education for some time, so a patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach is essential.
