Intro

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Closing date: 6th November 2026

What you'll be doing

This is a brilliant opportunity to join the Core Prescription Items team within our Healthcare Business Unit in Nottingham, helping shape how Boots develops and delivers its prescriptions offer for customers across in-store and online channels.

As customer needs and behaviours continue to change, you'll support key FY27 workstreams across Pharmacy Growth, Surgery Relationships, Growth and Retention, helping turn plans into practical actions that improve performance and reduce attrition. Working closely with proposition and performance managers, you'll combine customer insight, business performance and market trends to help differentiate Boots in a competitive healthcare market.

You'll be based on site in Nottingham, collaborating with teams across NHS Contracts, Pharmacy Operations, Finance, Properties and Marketing to keep workstreams moving at pace and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of core prescription items workstreams across the FY27 plan, including Pharmacy Growth, Surgery Relationships, Growth and Retention.
  • Work closely with proposition and performance managers to turn strategic priorities into clear, actionable plans.
  • Analyse internal business performance, customer behaviour and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and retention.
  • Support performance tracking across key workstreams, sharing progress, insight and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
  • Help develop compelling value propositions that meet customer needs and strengthen the Boots prescriptions offer.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders across the Healthcare Business Unit and wider Boots functions.
  • Partner with teams including NHS Contracts, Pharmacy Operations, Finance, Properties and Marketing to support joined-up delivery.
  • Contribute to problem-solving across projects, initiatives and workstreams, helping unblock issues and maintain momentum.
  • Represent the Boots brand to a high standard when working with internal and external partners.
  • Support delivery at pace while maintaining quality, clarity and a strong focus on customer and colleague impact.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
  • Experience setting up and supporting projects, initiatives or workstreams, ideally in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • The ability to translate plans into practical actions that teams can deliver.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the confidence to bring structure to changing priorities.
  • High motivation, resilience and adaptability in an agile environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage colleagues quickly across different teams and levels.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, including the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Confidence working at pace while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office 365.
It would be great if you also have
  • Experience in pharmacy, retail healthcare, consumer health, commercial planning or another regulated customer‑facing environment.
  • An understanding of prescription services, pharmacy operations, primary care relationships or NHS‑adjacent ways of working.
  • Experience using performance insight or market trends to shape business decisions, not just report on them.
  • Confidence working across both customer proposition and operational delivery.
  • Experience supporting growth, retention or transformation activity in a large, multi‑site business.
Where your brilliance can take you

In this role, you'll gain exposure to some of the most important priorities in the Boots Healthcare Business Unit, with the chance to build your experience across proposition, performance, stakeholder management and cross‑functional delivery. You'll work with teams that influence both the in‑store and online prescriptions experience, giving you a strong platform to grow your career in healthcare, commercial planning, transformation or proposition leadership.

At Boots, we believe in giving people the trust, support and opportunity to make progress. You'll be part of a collaborative, inclusive team where your contribution matters, your voice can help shape what comes next, and your work can make a real difference for customers, patients and colleagues.
