Job summary

Olo offers a fully remote Software Engineer role on the Core team of the Order Engineering group, based to Belfast/Northern Ireland. You will help shape baskets, orders, checkout, promotions, capacity management, and related services, writing clean, well-tested code and guiding technical decisions.

You’ll collaborate across teams, own parts of the delivery pipeline, participate in code reviews, and grow through hands-on AI tooling and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/software engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 1.5 years in a software engineering role.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and design patterns.
• Familiarity with GitHub and source control workflows.
• Familiarity with NUnit or Jest for testing.
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence and GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Core domain and technology stack.
• Handle small to medium feature work with guidance from seniors.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate to understand feature requirements and implement solutions.
• Build reliable software components with long-term maintainability.
• Own the delivery pipeline and code quality standards.
• Participate in stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and learnings.
• Engage in on-call duties as required.
