Job summary

Tatas Corby works are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to assist an established team with material and production planning, liaison with internal stakeholders and maintaining an accurate database. The role is 100% office based with a view to offering 2 days remote after training.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain/planning, strong IT literacy (Excel, SAP), and excellent communication skills to coordinate with production and service teams.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Supply Chain/Planner/Scheduler role
• Capacity to operate with minimal supervision
• Strong IT literacy skills including MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience with in house IT systems
• Confident telephone manner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Previous experience using SAP (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Pre plan shipments referencing the Master Production schedule
• Liaise with production teams to ensure effective delivery of production
• Monitor costs against supplier invoices
• Use planning tools and software systems accurately
• Work with stakeholders to maintain and exceed service standards
• Identify failures against plan and propose resolutions
• Forecast potential peaks in demand and action corrective measures
• Support Customer Service and Commercial teams to ensure product availability
• Provide weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports on customer trends
• Communicate with Production Managers daily via phone and email
• Use MS Excel at an intermediate level (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
• Adhere to UK Health and Safety legislation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
