Job summary

Tata Steel in Corby is recruiting a Supply Chain Planner on a 6-month contract to support material and production planning. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining accurate data, and liaising with internal teams. After training, option for two remote days per week may become available.

The ideal candidate will have prior supply chain/planner experience, strong IT literacy, and SAP familiarity. Mon-Fri, 36.5 hours; salary £28,000–£33,000.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Supply Chain/Planner/Scheduler role.
• Strong IT literacy including MS Office.
• Experience liaising with internal stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Pre plan shipments referencing the Master Production schedule.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor costs against supplier invoices.
• Use planning tools and software accurately.
• Maintain and exceed service standards with stakeholders.
• Identify plan deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Identify demand peaks and actions.
• Support Customer Service and Commercial teams for product availability.
• Produce weekly/monthly/ad-hoc reports on trends.
• Communicate with Production Managers daily via phone/email.
• Utilise MS Excel (formulas, vlookup, pivot).
• Adhere to Health & Safety legislation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
