Job summary

Tyson Foods Europe in the UK is seeking a Coordinator R&D to manage operations of the Innovation Hub and presentation area, coordinating with R&D and FSQA to drive product development and samples management. You will handle kitchen hygiene, equipment maintenance, diary scheduling, and support internal and external food presentations.

Travel up to 20% to support UK and EU events; role requires hands-on kitchen work, inventory control, and collaboration with Sales, Marketing and FSQA; strong

Qualifications

• 1-2 year track-record in Development/Commercial Kitchen or Laboratory.
• Health & Safety qualification preferred.
• Food Hygiene qualification preferred.
• COSHH qualification preferred.
• HACCP qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and HACCP, including cleanliness of kitchen equipment and adherence to legislation.
• Coordinate service and maintenance of Innovation Hub equipment.
• Assist Senior Development Chef and R&D Technologists with concept and development recipes and samples preparation.
• Ensure ingredients are in-stock and equipment available for Senior Development Chef and R&D Technologists.
• Product compliance/cooking validation testing.
• Manage and record inbound/outbound samples from requests to stock control, packing, labeling and delivery coordination.
• Prepare, cook and present portfolio products for review with Sales, Marketing and FSQA teams.
• Schedule kitchen and presentation room diary for internal and external meetings.
• Manage kitchen consumables inventory and ordering.
• Support Commercial and Marketing by coordinating internal workshops, industry events and product showcases.
• Continuously develop kitchen systems to improve hygiene and efficiency.

Job Purpose/Summary:

As our Coordinator R&D, you will be responsible for the fundamental operations of our Innovation Hub and presentation area.

You will be collaborating closely with local key functions, primarily R&D (Research & Development) and FSQA (Food Safety Quality Assurance) to facilitate department activities.

The responsibility of the role encompasses kitchen maintenance and hygiene, scheduling, coordinating and assisting product development and product assessments, inbound and outbound product sample management, and supporting internal and external food presentations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hygiene and HACCP, to include cleanliness of kitchen equipment and adhering to legislation
• Coordinating service and maintenance of Innovation Hub equipment
• Assist Senior Development Chef and R&D Technologists with concept and development recipes and samples preparation
• Ensure ingredients are in-stock and equipment available for Senior Development Chef and R&D Technologists
• Product compliance/cooking validation testing.
• Management and Record-Keeping for all inbound, outbound import and export samples, from requests, through stock control packing and labelling to coordinating delivery
• Prepare, cook and present portfolio products for review with Sales, Marketing and FSQA Teams
• Schedule kitchen and presentation room diary for internal and external meetings
• Management of kitchen consumables inventory and ordering
• Support the Commercial and Marketing functions coordinating internal workshops, industry events and product showcases.
• Continuous development of systems within the Kitchen to improve hygiene and efficiency

Requirements:

Required Experience:

• Proven 1-2 year track-record in a Development Kitchen, Commercial Kitchen or Laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health & Safety Qualification.
• Food Hygiene Qualification.
• COSHH Qualification.
• HACCP Qualification.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Proven track-record in Commercial Kitchen or Development Kitchen Management
• Food Hygiene Qualification
• Good numeracy skills and IT literacy
• Superb organisational skills
